Construction of Push-Pull Sets 1-6 is now under way!!!

The initial run will cover those Sets consisting of the Driving Trailer/Compo d.419 accompanied by the Brake Third d.97.

Some customers have ordered Set 2 as running with a replacement coach - a Third d.31.  This has been etched and test built and is ready to go into production.

The SECR d.52, ie those versions running with Sets 1 and 6 at one time in their career, has also been etched, but is currently the subject of a small revision.  Customers with these Sets on order will be kept up to date with progress.

Below are photos of a set 2 produced as appearing in 1949 with a "residual" complement of Southern insignia together with the addition of a prefix "S" - see Mike King's book, Plate 74, page 64.   (I have left the image size a little larger than usual)

D.132 Brake Third

I have also produced this 56ft Brake Third with sliding door, examples of which ran until 1957.

This will be the last type of standard ex LSW corridor stock I will be producing as other projects now beckon.

I have a pretty full programme of Push-Pull building over the coming months and don't really want to produce many more corridor coaches.  However, the d.132 has turned out really very well and is a fitting model with which to conclude the 56ft stock.  If you want one, contact me and I'll see what I can do ..........................

Below are a couple of photos of one of these coaches, just completed

Below ..........................

Set 737 modelled in its latter days - finished in BR(S) coaching stock green livery and with several panels sheeted over on both coaches.

This Set has just been produced for a special commission.  It was developed from our earlier emigrant conversion Pull-Push units (Sets 731-5)

Sets 731 – 735 – the emigrant conversions

These 46ft 6inch coaches were amongst the first I produced/marketed.  They have been unavailable for some time now, but their popularity is unquestionable.  I have therefore taken steps to re-instate them and am prepared to accept orders now.

 Sets 31 - 36

Testing of these models is also fully complete and they are ready to go into production – after orders for sets 1-6 have been completed.  All variants have been included in the design – covering not just the different trailer compos, but also the more radical replacement of the original LSW Driving Trailer with one of SECR origin – d.160A

As an aside, the SECR d160A and related d.166 ran as single vehicles before being incorporated into conventional two coach Push-Pull units.

Perhaps, in this earlier guise, the single Push-Pull coach might appeal to customers with limited space constraints.

I can accept orders for these Push-Pull Sets - please contact me to discuss your requirements
